EcomRise Post Purchase Upsell (“the App”, “we”, “us”) is provided by EcomRise. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information when merchants install and use the App on their Shopify store.

2. Information We Collect

When you install the App, we are automatically able to access certain types of information from your Shopify account:
  • Store information: shop domain, email, store owner name.
  • Order information: order ID, line items, total amount (to display upsell offers and analytics).
  • Customer information: only limited data necessary for creating upsell rules (e.g., customer tags).
We do not collect sensitive personal information (such as payment details, passwords, or full customer addresses).

3. How We Use Information

We use the collected information to:
  • Display and manage post-purchase upsell offers.
  • Track performance metrics (revenue, conversion rate, AOV uplift).
  • Provide technical support and improve app functionality.
  • Comply with legal and Shopify requirements.
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain store and order data only as long as you use the App.
When you uninstall the App, we automatically delete all store and order data within 30 days.
You may also request immediate data deletion by contacting us.

5. Sharing Information

We may share limited data with:
  • Shopify, to ensure integration and billing.
  • Service providers (e.g., cloud hosting) solely for operating the App.
These providers are contractually bound to protect your data.

6. GDPR & CCPA Compliance

Merchants and customers in the EU/EEA or California have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of their personal data.
The App is configured to handle Shopify’s mandatory GDPR webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact, shop/redact).

7. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.

8. Children’s Privacy

Our App is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will always be posted on this page with the effective date.
